Singer Macklemore (real name Ben Haggerty) has today confirmed that he and fiancée Tricia Davis welcomed a daughter two months ago, announcing the news through the medium of song.
The 32-year-old shared the wonderful update with fans this evening, posting a link to his new song ‘Growing Up (Sloane’s Song)’, and writing: “Our daughter, Sloane Ava Simone Haggerty, was born two months ago on May 29.”
“There is nothing like the joy and happiness that comes from bringing a baby into this universe. She has filled my heart in ways that I never knew were possible. She is the love of my life. This song is for her,” he added.
Ben and Tricia announced their wonderful baby news back in January, sharing a beautiful video montage of their first baby scan. Attendees of the star’s New Year’s Eve gig in Las Vegas had previously broken the news, after spotting the pair cooing over Tricia’s baby bump.
