Late last night, the heartbroken star took to her social media channels to thank her friends and followers for their kind messages of support at this difficult time.
Taking to Twitter, Cara wrote: “Thank you to everyone for your kind words today to get us through this difficult time. Every single tweet or Instagram comment I have read today has helped me so, so much.”
“I am overwhelmed by the love from so many people. Thank you,” she added.
One of the first to send on their wishes to Cara was her best friend and former TOWIE co-star Billi Mucklow, who is expecting her first child with footballer Andy Carroll.
“Love you with all my heart,” wrote Billi on her Twitter account.

A spokesperson confirmed Cara and her partner’s sad news yesterday, saying: “Cara and her partner are devastated at the loss and will not be commenting further on this deeply upsetting matter.”
