Since news of his split from his wife of two years emerged earlier this week, he has found himself at the centre of plenty of scrutiny – but it seems that one publication took things a little too far with their coverage.

Former Westlife star Brian McFadden has hit out at OK! magazine after it published an article mentioning that bookmakers had laid down odds of 25/1 for the singer to reunite with his ex-wife, Kerry Katona.

Both Brian’s and Kerry’s relationship have come under the spotlight this week. While Brian confirmed his split from wife Vogue Williams on Tuesday night, sources claim that Kerry has also ended her marriage to husband George Kay.

Responding to the insensitive article shared by the magazine, 35-year-old Brian took to his social media channels to make his feelings on the subject clear.

“Please respect our children and don’t print this sort of nonsense,” he tweeted the magazine.

Brian’s fans were quick to jump to his defence, with a number of them sending messages of support over the tweet.

“Well said Brian! You’re both recently out of long term relationships! The children don’t need to be reading this x,” wrote one fan.

Brian had previously sent out a tweet to his fans, thanking them for their messages of support after the shock announcement of his marriage split.
