Weeks after the initial reports surfaced, One Direction star Louis Tomlinson has opened up about the news that he is set to become a dad with stylist Briana Jungwirth.
The subject was raised during an interview with the band on Good Morning America. Host Michael Strahan, himself a father-of-four, said: “Louis, from one father to another, I want to congratulate you on your upcoming fatherhood.”
The 24-year-old singer replied: “Obviously it’s a very exciting time, so I’m buzzing, thank you.”
This is the first time that Louis has publicly acknowledged the news that he is expecting with the American stylist, although bandmate and friend Liam Payne did describe it as a ‘shock’ this week.
In a radio interview, Liam told presenter Jo Parkinson: “Obviously I was a bit shocked but he’s taken super well to it. He’s very excited with what’s going on with him at the moment, and I feel that stuff like that happens sometimes…he’s taking it very seriously.”
A source recently said that Louis and Briana are giving their relationship another go in light of their news.
