While she may have made a name for herself from her acting career, she has built up a billion dollar empire with her natural beauty company.
However, mother-of-two Jessica Alba and her Honest Company have come under fire this week, amid claims from angry customers that her ‘natural’ suncream is in fact ‘useless’ and dangerous.
Customers took to Amazon to shared damning reviews on the product, slamming it for leaving themselves and their children with skin burns.
One woman took to Twitter to share a photo of her burns, with the accompanying message reading: “Don’t buy Honest sunscreen unless [you] want to look like this. Second time I’ve tried this stuff and got fried.”
Meanwhile, another social media user took to the micro-blogging site to write: “I got sunburnt and I was outside with organic Honest Company sunscreen on for less than an hour.”
Over on Amazon, one woman shared her frustration by giving the product a one-star review, adding that she felt like “filing a lawsuit against Honest”.
@PerezHilton true, I buy a lot of @Honest products but the sunscreen is SO thick & stinks, the bugspray is awful too #sorry #truth

An investigation into the complaints has revealed that the Honest Company suncream contains significantly less zinc than recommended, although reps maintain that the zinc is substituted with other natural alternatives.
