He tweeted his devastation at the loss of singer David Bowie on Monday, and today, Take That singer Howard Donald has honoured the star in a touching way.
Howard and his wife, Katie Halil, welcomed their first child together on Tuesday, the day after news of Bowie’s passing was announced, and decided to call their baby after him.
Taking to Twitter, the 47-year-old revealed that Katie had given birth to a healthy boy, who the couple have named Bowie Taylan Donald – a wonderful tribute to an inspirational man.

The little boy was born nearly two weeks after Howie and Katie celebrated their one year anniversary, and will be a baby brother to the star’s two daughters, Grace, 16, and ten-year-old Lola from previous relationships.
Fans were quick to offer the singer their congratulations and to express their delight at the chosen name:
