A much-loved television presenter has revealed that she is expecting a baby girl in June of this year, but admits that the pregnancy hasn't been without its heartache.

Speaking to Hello! magazine, Formula One presenter, Natalie Pinkham, announced that she's due to become a mum for the second time this summer, but explained that she miscarried her daughter's twin during the early stages of her pregnancy.

Opening up about the initial weeks of her nine-month journey, Natalie explained that she and husband, Owain Walbyoff, endured weeks of concern, saying: "The first two months were a real rollercoaster . We had this strange phase of not knowing if there would be two babies or one or none."

With admirable courage following such a devastating loss, 37-year-old Natalie insists she needs to focus on the positive as she awaits the arrival of her daughter this summer.

37-year-old Natalie, who is also mum to 11-month-old son Wilfie, says she draws strength from words of solace offered by her father, insisting: "It's nature's way and it is sad. My dad put it in a lovely way and said: 'One has made way for the other."

Looking to the future, Natalie, who married Owain in 2012, insists she can barely contain her delight at the prospect of welcoming a new addition, explaining: "I always wanted a little brother or sister for Wilf, but didn't expect to get pregnant so quickly."

Despite the heartache endured as a result of the miscarriage, the much-loved presenter looks back on 2015 with fondness, insisting: "This last year has been the best of my life. Now we've got another exciting year to come. I couldn't be happier."

We're wishing Natalie all the best with the rest of her journey.
