With a house full of boys, it's perhaps unsurprising to learn that world-famous mum-of-four, Victoria Beckham, had hoped her little girl might follow in her fashion designer footsteps, but unfortunately it doesn't seem like it's meant to be.

Following the debut of her latest fashion collection, the former Spice Girl sat down with Good Morning America and opened up about family life, fashion lines and future plans.

While discussing Beckham family life, the acclaimed designer, who turned 41-years-old last April, revealed that a recent conversation with her youngest child, Harper, had left her somewhat disheartened, to say the least.

While acknowledging her only daughter's passing interest in fashion, the star admitted secret hopes she had harboured were recently dashed.

Warmly relating a recent mummy / daughter conversation, Victoria recalled: "She said to me the other day: 'Mummy I think I want to play football.' A dagger through the heart. I have three boys who want to play football, come on, let one of them want to be in fashion."

The star clearly hoped her daughter's interest in Mummy's accessories and beauty regime might translate into a particular career in the future, but Harper clearly has other ideas.

Accepting the possibility she may be the only fashionista in the family, Victoria simply said: "But she loves sport. She's a tomboy because she has three brothers."

All may not be lost, however, as Harper still finds the time to glam-up with the help of her stunning mum.

Acknowledging this, Victoria, who recently revealed she would not be taking part in a Spice Girls reunion, says: "She loves fashion as all little girls do, she loves putting make-up on and playing with my shoes."

Only time will tell!
