There were A LOT of babies born this year. From actresses, reality stars, singers and royal ladies, it seemed the world of celebrity were popping them out left, right and centre!
We had great fun compiling our top ten - there were plenty in here that we had almost forgotten all about.
1. Saylor James Cutler: Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler
Kristin Cavallari gave birth to the couple’s third child in November, after revealing the sex on Instagram. The former The Hills star, who wed husband, Jay Cutler, in 2013, was already mum to two little boys, Camden Jack and Jaxon Wyatt.
2. Princess Charlotte: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge
The world was left on tender-hooks when Kate Middleton entered the Lindo wing at St Mary’s hospital during the summer- would she give birth to a boy or a girl? And there was sheer delight when it was revealed she had given birth to a little girl, who the royal couple named Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
3. Saint West: Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
Announcing her due date as the 25th December, there was a huge surprise when Kim Kardashian gave birth to a little boy three weeks early. The news was confirmed on Kim’s official website, with a rep writing: “Kim Kardashian West and her husband, Kanye West, welcomed the arrival of their son this morning. Mother and son are doing well." The famous couple are also parents to two-year-old North West.
4. Jesse Jones: Sophie Ellis Bextor and Richard Jones
36-year-old Sophie welcomed her fourth child, a baby boy, with her husband Richard Jones in November. Taking to Instagram to share the wonderful news, the singer revealed they had named their little one Jesse Jones. They are also parents to Sonny, Kit and Ray.
5. Honey Krissy Wood: Fearne Cotton and Jesse Wood
Fearne Cotton welcomed her second child, Honey Krissy Wood, in September of this year, and took to social media to announce her wonderful news: "Jesse and I are over the moon and buzzing with love, as our baby daughter Honey Krissy Wood came into the world this morning." The couple also have a two-year-old son Rex.
6. Holt Fisher Smith: Tiffani Thiessen and Brady Smith
Saved by the Bell star Tiffani Thiessen and her husband, Brady Smith, welcomed their second child, Holt Fisher Smith, in July of this year. They are also parents to five-year-old Harper Renn.
7. Alfie James Pitfield: Catherine Tyldesley and Tom Pitford
Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley gave birth to her first child, Alfie, in March, and took to her Instagram to announce her happy news.“We made a wish and you came true. Welcome Alfie James Pitfield. We love you beyond words,” wrote the 31-year-old, adding in the hashtag ‘besotted’.
8. Summer Needs: Rebecca Adlington and Harry Needs
Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington and her husband, fellow swimmer Harry Needs, welcomed their first child, Summer, in June. The overjoyed 26-year-old took to her social media channels to share the wonderful news, tweeting: “Harry Needs and I are over the moon as we welcomed our beautiful baby girl this morning. She’s doing well and we’re so in love!!!”
9. Max Zuckerberg: Mark and Priscilla Zuckerberg
In addition to announcing their arrival of his baby daughter Max, the 31-year-old social media tycoon revealed that he and his wife, Priscilla, have decided to donate 99% of their Facebook shares - a figure which stands at a whopping $45 billion - to charity, in an effort to better the world his little girl will grow up in.
10. Christopher Cumberbatch: Sophie Hunter and Benedict Cumberbatch
Hollywood star Benedict Cumberbatch and his wife, Sophie Hunter, welcomed their first child, Christopher, in June. Rumours were rife in the New Year that the couple were expecting, and Benedict went on to confirm the wonderful news in January.
