1. We can tell her anything
How amazing is it to have someone we can talk to, no holds barred, and know that she’ll love us no matter what?
2. She gives the BEST cuddles
No matter how lousy we feel, a big warm hug from mum always makes us feel better. And she doesn’t even have to speak – love, sympathy and understanding can all be conveyed in one cuddle.
3. Spending time together
Whether we’re shopping, going out for coffee and croissants or just chilling at home, hanging out with our mum is always SO much fun.
4. She’s honest with us
She loves us, but she also has no compunction in speaking plainly to us if we need it. And no matter how blunt she is we always know it’s because she has our best interests at heart.
5. She’s the first person we call
When something good happens she’s the first person we call to share the good news. And when it’s something not so good we call her straight away for comfort. Basically we call her every five minutes!
6. She think we’re the bee’s knees
She laughs her head off at all our jokes (which probably aren’t that funny really) and constantly tells us how great we are – and it makes us feel so secure, loved and special.
7. She’s incredibly loyal
If someone so much as looks sideways at us they’re off her Christmas card list. She’s all about the, “If they mess with you they mess with me” and we love her for it.
8. She gives the BEST advice
Having our mums to turn to when we need help is a precious gift. Whether we’re worried about a health issue or how to deal with a difficult situation, she’s always on hand to offer some reflective and wise advice.
9. We feel loved
She tells us she loves us about 50 times a day – and we never get tired of hearing it.
10. We have a great role model
Our mum is the one who taught us our values and morals and what was important in life. By following her example we grew into the women we wanted to be.
