There’s nothing like spending the day with our girls is there?

Mum and daughter time is so very precious. We remember the days out we had with our own mothers, and we love the idea that in years to come our daughters will cherish memories of the time they spent with us.

And so, to give you a little mum-daughter bonding time inspiration, we’ve compiled a lovely list of gorgeous girly FUN:

1. Afternoon tea

What could be more enjoyable that chatting with our favourite girls in between mouthfuls of tea and jammy scones? Afternoon tea is a leisurely, drawn out dining experience that allows us to dress up in our loveliest frocks and natter the day away. Oh, and if your girls are quite young we advise you call ahead to the venue and ask if they have a kid’s version, and if not could they make one up for you specially!

2. Spa day

Your little girl will feel like a million dollars going to get her nails done with her mama. And if she’s that bit older she’ll appreciate sitting back and having a gossip with you. Either way, it’s the perfect activity for a bit of girly pampering time!

3. Chick flick movie night

One of our fave mum-daughter date ideas EVER has to be a cosy, girly movie night in. All you need are your PJs, a few packs of Maltesers and Minstrels to throw into your popcorn (yep, we do that too) and some hot chocolate – oh and of course a stack of your favourite chick flicks. We’ll be watching Dirty Dancing (for the 900th time) and 13 Going On 30.

4. Take her to work!

If possible, take your daughter into work for a day (or even a couple of hours). She probably has a bit of an abstract idea of where you go when ‘mum’s at work’, so why not show her what you do all day?

5. Take a ‘just girls’ road trip

For some real mum-daughter bonding why not take a little trip away? Even if it’s just to the next town your girls will be thrilled you’re spending some time alone together. And booking into a little B&B for the night will be SUCH an exciting novelty. It might even become a much-loved annual tradition!

What’s your favourite mum-daughter bonding activity? We’d love to hear it!
