Huge congratulations are in order today following the announcement that Margarita Louis-Dreyfus - considered one of Europe's most powerful women - has welcomed twin girls.

The 53-year-old businesswoman, who is already mum to 18-year-old twin boys and another son from her marriage to late businessman Robert Louis-Dreyfyss, made the announcement through the press office of international trading house, Louis Dreyfus Commodities.

Upon announcing the pregnancy last year, representatives for the Swiss billionaire businesswoman revealed that Margarita did not intend to take a prolonged maternity leave from her high-powered role in the industry.

"She intends to continue to exercise her duties as chairperson until the birth, take a brief break and return to work full time in late April," they confirmed in a statement to the press.

The press office confirmed that the new arrivals and Margarita, who is in a relationship with the former governor of the Swiss Central Bank Philipp Hildebrand, "are doing well."

Congratulations to the new family!
