The strength of kids is so inspiring – like amazing little girl Brydi Saul, who had other ideas when doctors said she would be paralysed for life.

Aussie 6-year old Brydi was born with a tumour on her spinal cord. At just three days old it was removed, but her parents were told she would never be able to sit up or walk.

However, the “go getter” – as her parents call her – starting proving people wrong right away, clearly refusing to allow anyone to put limitations on what she can achieve.

And a go getter she is, managing at just 12 months old to stand up with a walking frame.

Brydi watches her three siblings and tries to do exactly what they are doing. And she even sets herself challenges, like pulling herself up into a standing position wearing leg braces, and seeing how long she can hold herself before falling.

“She just gives it a go anyway,” proud mum Toni says.

The family had a wonderful moment recently, when Brydi even managed to walk unaided for a few steps – filling them with hope for the future.

“We don't try and set too many expectations,” Toni told Daily Mail Australia. “But we hold a lot of hope. We don't know what the future is going to be like, but we're going to wait and see and hope for the best. Brydi is just generally a go-getter. She does what she wants and she's got an adorable attitude to go with it.”

Now superwoman Brydi has her sights set on completing a triathlon. And to fulfil her dream, her parents are fundraising for specialised equipment, as well as money to help them care for her daily needs.

“Hello, my name is Brydi and I was born a paraplegic,” the GoFundMe page says. “The doctors told my parents I would never walk, sit by myself, or crawl.... Well I showed them! With a lot of help from my mummy and daddy, and physio and hydro, I have been able to build the strength in my body to sit up straight, stand and take steps! I also just started prep this year in mainstream school!!!

“I still need a lot of help and have a long road ahead but with your help I can get more equipment and Physio and swimming lessons etc. to one day reach my goal of doing a triathlon on my own!”

What an inspiring young lady! We have no doubt she’ll go on to smash her goals.
