Losing a parent is one of the most devastating things anyone can go through, and it seems that fond memories are certainly helping Hollywood star Ben Stiller through this difficult time.

Ben’s mother, actress Anne Meara, sadly passed away last weekend at the age of 85, with tributes pouring in for the much-loved star.

Zoolander star Ben has been leading the tributes to his beloved mother, and last night took to his social media channels to pay a touching dedication to her.

Posting a stunning black-and-white photograph of Anne as a young girl, the 49-year-old actor wrote: “My mom Anne. She was an extraordinary person. Miss her.”

“Thank you so much for all the kind words about Anne. All of us in our family feel so lucky to have had her in our lives,” wrote the actor at the time.

Anne was a celebrated actress in Hollywood, having held notable roles in Love Boat, All My Children and Sex and the City, among many others.

Our hearts go out to Ben and the family.
