Taking to Twitter to chat about his new family dynamic, the 43-year-old actor apologised for keeping fans and followers in suspense, but made up for it by sharing some incredibly tender shots of his baby daughter, Freja Amelie.
Ben, who was diagnosed with bowel cancer but thankfully went into remission in 2012, is clearly overjoyed about the new arrival, captioning the sweet shots: "Sorry for the delay, but we are over the moon to introduce Freja Amelie to you. She is our absolute world."
New mum Kirsty, who began dating Ben in 2013, looked beautiful as she posed alongside her new baby daughter and melted the hearts of fans and followers the length and breadth of the country with the tender family shots.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, the overjoyed dad admits that he hasn't gotten used to the idea that Freja is his, saying: "To be honest, I am only just starting to get round to the idea that someone isn't going to say, 'Cut!' and take her away from me."
Revealing that he lost seven babies in a past relationship with a previous partner due to a rare genetic disorder, the actor said: "For us it's a miracle. We love her and I'll do everything to protect her."
Echoing her daughter's dad's sentiments, Kirsty admits: "I love Ben to pieces, but this is a different love and my heart is bursting every time I look at her. I am so in love with this little thing."
