Just yesterday, it was reported that actor Ben Affleck was romantically involved with his children’s nanny, with a ‘source’ sharing details of their alleged relationship with Us Weekly.
While Affleck’s representative simply branded the rumours as “garbage” yesterday, he has released a further statement that has shed light on the heartbreaking impact of such reports on the actor’s family.
“The story is complete garbage and full of lies. You shouldn’t be able to hide behind ‘blind sources’ and attempt to destroy families going through a difficult time. The tabloid decided to construct stories in order to sell magazine. It’s like story time in kindergarten. It’s shameful and desperate,” the statement read.
His rep later told E!Online that the Batman star is considering going down the legal route in a bid to have the truth revealed.
“It’s a shameful ploy to stay relevant for the magazine. We are considering legal options,” he added.
Ben and wife Jennifer Garner are parents to nine-year-old Violet, six-year-old Seraphina and three-year-old Samuel.
