We recently reported that they are looking to start a family together, just months after announcing their engagement, but it looks like the prospect comes with mixed feelings for Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello.

The Modern Family actress, who got engaged to True Blood star Joe earlier this year, spoke candidly about having babies during an interview with Vanity Fair.

The 42-year-old, who is already mum to 23-year-old son Manolo, admitted that the thoughts of having such a big age gap between her eldest and any future children is a little 'weird' for her.

“My son, Manolo, is 23 years old, which is going to be really weird if I have another baby. But, you know, Joe wants babies and if it’s going to make him super-happy, then…,” the actress told the publication.

Her comments come just weeks after sources claimed that the couple were considering surrogacy, with insiders saying that Sofia and Joe may have already found their surrogate.

Sofia previously admitted in an interview that she froze her eggs, revealing: “I just wanted to plan ahead. Nothing happens that naturally anymore. I wanted to take advantage of science.”

The couple are rumoured to be marrying in autumn of this year.
