She took to her social media channels last week to pay tribute to her late son Archie, who passed away six years ago, and this week Kym Marsh has opened up on how she has dealt with her heartbreaking loss.

The 38-year-old, who is also mum to David, Emilie and Polly, revealed that the entire family got together last week to mark Archie’s short life.

In an interview with OK! magazine, Kym said: “Each year we light a candle for Archie and put it by the box containing his ashes and the framed picture of Archie’s footprints that I keep on the mantelpiece in my bedroom. In the evening, [fiancé] Dan, Emilie, David and I released a lantern at the same time as Archie was born, at 9:41pm.”

The Coronation Street actress admitted that her fiancé Dan Hooper, who sent out a tweet in tribute to Archie last week, has been her rock.

“He’s been amazing. Losing a child is really horrendous and I’m sure everyone understands that, but I think when you’ve got your own [Dan is dad to four-year-old daughter Lexi with his ex-girlfriend, Stephanie Waring] you understand it that little bit more,” said Kym.

Kym and Dan were dating for 10 months before getting engaged in January of this year.
