It’s an early Christmas present for actress Sara Rue and husband, Kevin Price who have welcomed a new baby into their family.
The pair have adopted a baby girl, Adelaide Rue Price who is “doing really wonderful”.
“She’s so strong and she’s spending a lot of time tucked up to my body. It’s been a really cosy, wonderful time in our house,” Sara told People magazine.
Sara and Kevin said they always knew they’d like to adopt and opted for an open process with their baby girl’s biological mother.
“It’s just something that felt right for both of us.”
The pair are already parents to three-year-old Talulah but struggled to conceive a second child.
“We got to a point where we really had to make a choice, and it was a pretty easy decision.
“We just wanted another child to complete our family, and it really didn’t matter where she came from as long we were her mom and dad.”
Sara introduced baby Adelaide to her big sister over FaceTime and says it was a very special moment.
“We said, ‘We want you to meet somebody!’ The smile on her face … I wish I had recorded it. It was the most precious, heartwarming, wonderful moment,” recalls Rue.
“She’s going to be such a great big sister. She is so sweet with her and just wants to kiss her and hug her.”
