Royal Fever is on the rise once again!

After protection officers were seen in St Mary's Hospital early this morning, and a photographer known to be close to Kate's PA arrived at the scene, eyewitness reports are now appearing on Twitter of an ambulance leaving Kensington Palace, escorted by a royal convoy - is the new royal baby finally on the way?

The Duchess of Cambridge’s due date was estimated to be last week, putting the lovely Kate in ‘overdue’ territory.

This is not the first time eyewitnesses have sent the world into a Royal Baby tizzy. Last week, roads were closed around St Mary’s Hospital where Kate is expected to give birth, and radio DJ Chris Evans sparked rumours by claiming Kate was on her way into hospital. However, it later turned out to be caused by a fire in the area.

The Mirror is currently reporting that police and sniffer dogs have appeared outside Lindo Wing. Patrolling helicopters have also in been spotted in the Hyde Park area, but Kensington Palace has yet to confirm anything.

Many are speculating that this is just a dry-run to prepare for when Kate goes into labour - something that was also done for Prince George's birth in 2013.

Is it another false alarm or is this the moment of truth? We’ll keep you posted…
