If you're a celebrity and you put up an innocent caption with your Instagram photo that says, ''@leesaevansstyle and I are cookin somethin up'', be prepared for a barrage of ''congratulations!!' or ''are you pregnant?'' comments.

Which is exactly what happened to Amy Schumer.

After she posted a photo of her seemingly holding her stomach, with the above caption, her fans went crazy in the comments sections, asking her if she was going to have a baby.

They ranged from people convinced that she was pregnant, saying, ''congrats!!! So happy for you guys'' and ''life goal achieved: pregnant at the same time as @amyschumer. Congrats, Mama!''

Others realised that the person tagged in her caption was not her husband Chris Fischer, but rather her stylist.

One wrote, "unless her stylist is carrying a child for her I don’t think it’s a pregnancy announcement'' and ''she is cooking something up with a stylist. Not her husband.''

The 37-year-old then responded to the claims a few hours later with a video, full of her trademark humour.

Titled, ''I always have a bump alert!'' she explained that her friends pointed out to her that it looked like she'd posted a pregnancy announcement.

''I am not pregnant," she confirms to the camera, holding what seems to be an alcoholic drink.

"I'm sorry, my friends said that ... it looked like I was like pointing to a bump or something. But I'm not. Leesa Evans and I created a clothing line for all sizes and shapes, and at a chill price point. That's what I was trying to allude to. But thank you for thinking of my womb."

Amy has had to deny rumours like these before, especially when she married Chris married earlier this year after only a few months together.

At the time, Entertainment Weekly reported that she had said, ''2 things. No I’m not pregnant. And no gifts but thank you for asking. Instead please consider donation to Everytown for Gun Safety. Thought of Mayce and Jillian a lot yesterday and sending love to everyone who has been affected by gun violence.''

We might not be hearing the pitter patter of tiny feet but Amy's new clothing line is just as exciting. Bring it on!
