In a year which saw celebrities name their kids River Rocket and York, it seems that most of us ordinary folk decided to keep things sweet and simple when it came to naming our own little ones.
In fact, a recent infographic by Very.co.uk - which compiles a number of survey results - shows traditional names are still the most popular for mums-to-be.
While Oliver and Amelia were the most popular last year, Alfie has nabbed first place for the boys while Isla has swooped in to claim the top spot for the girls.
Oscar, Teddy, Harry and Jack all quickly followed Alfie while Amelia, Ava, Freya and Evie were all featured in the girls top five.
