“Obviously, when your last name is Batman, everything becomes themed for you at all times."
Speaking to Love What Matters, Emily Batman, from Florida, sees the funny side of her married name.
"When we found out we were pregnant with Kase," she recalls. "We had some of the best name suggestions given to us: Bruce Wayne Batman, Robin Anne Batman, Alfred Gotham Batman (just to name a few).
"My husband was actually really entertained with his name selections. I eventually talked him out of any crazy Batman-themed name."
Embracing their constant theme from their wedding to their gender reveal, their Gotham-inspired adventures continue with this adorable cake smash.
"This entire shoot was inspired by our last name! I have to praise our photographer, Leslie. I let her run with her imagination in the design of everything."
And we're so glad she did, just look at Little Batman (which is still his nickname, FYI).
Emily has embraced the last, name, saying that it's a great conversation starter.
"When we got married and I had to go to the social security office to change my name, the lady behind the counter laughed and said, ‘So you married Batman?’
"[Neighbours] don’t actually know my husband’s real first name is Kevin because they just know him as ‘Batman,’ and I have become ‘Batman’s wife,’ instead of Emily.”
With another mini Batman on the way, let's hope that they can keep fighting the Joker with cuteness- and cake.
