We’ve often shared stories of women being shamed for breastfeeding in public, or being asked to cover up in a coffee shop or restaurant. So when we saw this BRILLIANT tongue-in-cheek sign in the window of The Big Vomfy Bookshop in Coventry, UK, we cheered.
“We only allow breastfeeding if it is done ostentatiously,” reads the sign, above a drawing of a crown which we just know means breastfeeding mamas are queens.
The sign is obviously making a cheeky point to people who think breastfeeding is something that should covered up and carried out in a toilet (or in a deep dark cave where no one can see).
So ladies, all we have to say to you is this: breastfeed as flamboyantly OSTENTATIOUS as your heart desires!
