Dolly has been part of the Corrie cast for four years now and loves being part of such an iconic soap.

She said, ''I have always been a massive fan of Coronation Street. I’d had an audition before the tour and I wasn’t expecting anything, but then just a couple of days later I got the call saying I had got the part."

Gemma took home the gong for Best Comedy Performance at the British Soap Awards in 2018.

We think that it's fantastic that she has been so honest about her own struggles and wants to help others to embrace their sexuality.
