Chris Hemsworth celebrated his 35th birthday with his nearest and dearest in Australia this weekend. Friends and family members have been posting birthday tributes in honour of the Thor star’s special day.
Younger brother and fellow actor Liam Hemsworth took to Instagram to wish Chris a happy birthday. He shared a black and white snap of him and his brother: “Happy birthday @chrishemsworth I remember the first time I ever threw a knife at your head, there was this look of pure fear in your eyes,” he joked.
“You’ve come a long way from that scared little kid...proud of you. You’re my hero. Love u heaps and heaps,” Liam gushed.
Chris’s wife Elsa Pataky posted a sweet message on Twitter. Sharing a selfie of her and her husband, she wrote: “Happy birthday to my biggest child! I love you to death @chrishemsworth . Let’s be kids forever!!”

Fellow Marvel stars also penned birthday messages to the actor, including Chris Pratt, Josh Brolin, Ryan Reynolds and Jeremy Renner.
Chris spent his birthday with his wife Elsa and their three children- India, Sasha and Tristan- at their home in Byron Bay.
The 35-year-old posted a snap from the festivities of him and wife Elsa. Posing alongside his birthday cake, the actor joked: “Immediately after this shot was taken my son viciously attacked me from behind (due to his ninja training) and slammed my face into the flaming candles, I’ll now be playing Deadpool if @vancityreynolds pulls the pin.”
Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds responded to the witty post: “Weird. My daughter JUST stabbed me in the right eye. (She’s not a ninja, but she IS a bit of a dick) Point is, We can finally trade roles… (Happy Birthday Bubba!)”
