Just hours after Lauren Conrad released the very first photos of her newborn son, former 90210 star Matt Lanter has confirmed that he is set to become a dad!
In an exclusive interview with People, the 34-year-old revealed that he and wife Angela are expecting their first child.
The couple, who have been married for four years, posed with their ultrasound photo – wearing contrasting pink and blue, no less!
“We are both overjoyed to be blessed with this new addition to our family!” they told the publication.
“I think we are most looking forward to experiencing all of the firsts – first steps, first words, first everything.
“We keep picturing the quiet moments (after the loud ones, of course) and morning snuggles with our baby!”
The couple are particularly overjoyed, given Angela’s previous health battles. The 32-year-old – who blogs at the ever-popular Hello Gorgeous – admitted that, at one stage, she didn’t think she could conceive on account of her endometriosis.
Indeed, she has been accepting of her ‘bumpy’ first trimester: “After battling endometriosis for many years, we are just so beyond thankful to have the chance to become parents.”
The parents-to-be will now be documenting their journey on a weekly podcast, called Hello Bump.
Matt and Angela tied the knot back in 2013, after three years of dating, in a stunning ceremony in Malibu.
Gushing at the time, Matt admitted: “It was the happiest day of my life. Everything went perfectly. It was amazing to do this in front of our closest friends and family.”
Matt’s lovely news comes during a week that has brought of lots of heart-warming baby news.
Indeed, while Lauren Conrad introduced her son to the world today, her friend and former co-star Whitney Port announced the birth of her little one on Tuesday.
She took to her blog and social media channels to reveal that she had welcomed a baby boy, Sonny, with husband Tim Rosenman.
