Chaunie Brusie knows how hard it is to take care of littles.

It's not an easy task, especially when your kids are babies; you can feel like you're being pulled in ten directions but still not 'achieving' anything at the end.

But what she has come to learn is that she is no longer the mother of babies.

In an emotional and beautiful letter to all mums, the mum-of-four has explained how she felt raising small children, and how she now feels about her motherhood journey.

"I am no longer the mother of babies. I don't spend my days rushing to fit things in between the next feed, sprinting between kids with exploding diapers, running around in circles."

"I look back at the way my life was, even two years ago, and I am genuinely amazed that I made it through."

Reason being is that Chaunie was extremely hard on herself, constantly feeling like she wasn't doing enough or she wasn't enough.

Cooking, cleaning, working and having fun were the things the mum felt she was missing, never trying hard enough to do it all.

"I felt like a failure in every possible way. Looking back now, I kind of want to cry."

"There is so much hardship in that stage of life with littles that you honestly just can't see until you're past it."

Reminiscing on how hard it really is, Chaunie is pleading with other mums to take her experience on board: "To all the mums who are there right now, please believe me when I say you are doing incredible things."

"It's not just you, it really is that hard. And none of us give ourselves enough credit."

"Those early years are intense, overwhelming and exhausting and the lowest of days [...],  they are the days when you are a superhero, I can see that now."

Chaunie assures mums that you will get there, you will get across that line and when you do, the other mums who have already made it will be cheering you on.

"Someday, you too, will recognise just how incredible you are too, so do me a favour today - give yourself some grace because chances are if you feel like you aren't doing enough, you already doing more than you know."

Such a beautiful post by the mum-of-four, we are all doing better than we think.
