Blake Lively gave birth to her and Ryan Reynolds' second daughter, one-year-old Ines, in September of 2016.

Like many mums, the 30-year-old struggled to lose the weight she gained during pregnancy, but she recently took to Instagram to announce a milestone post-baby event.

"Turns out you can’t lose the 61 lbs you gained during pregnancy by just scrolling through Instagram and wondering why you don’t look like all the bikini models," the former Gossip Girl star joked.

"Thanks, Don Saladino for kickin my A double S into shape," she wrote, "10 months to gain, 14 months to lose. Feeling very proud."

Her journey resonated with many women who had recently given birth.

"Still trying to lose baby fat, you’re so motivating!" raved one mum.

"Thank you for not being one of those celeb moms that make the rest of womankind feel like a failure for still having baby weight four weeks postpartum!" another wrote.

A follower commented, "Looks amazing. I swear people look better after pregnancy. #goals"

Some others still thought that her post added to the pressure put on new mums to lose weight.

"She has a personal trainer, infinite ways of having people take care of her family life, and such... It's hard enough without pictures like this!!" one parent said.

Blake addressed the societal pressure put on women to lose baby weight while promoting her 2015 film The Age of Adaline.

Her eldest daughter, James, was born in December 2014. Speaking in May 2015, she told the BBC, "I'm still 15 pounds heavier so it's nice that people think I lost my baby weight.

"I still haven't lost a pretty good chunk of it, but it's also the pressure - who cares?"

"There's pressure to lose it, or women are like supposed to look like they did when they were 19 right after you give birth to your child, I think it's silly," The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants actress said at the time.

Here, here! Our bodies are amazing, no matter what number is on the scale. No mum should feel pressured into looking exactly as she did before her little one's arrival.

What's your opinion on Blake's newest post, mums?
