Le Club Francais – fun French learning for young children!

 

A recently established French club franchise in Outer West of Newcastle. Run by Natalie Hanley (fluent French speaker and mum of 2) we aim to introduce children to the French language in a fun environment, giving them a head start for the move to high school. We run 45 minute classes consisting of songs, games and arts and crafts.  We put the emphasis on speaking & listening rather than learning grammar rules and the children are surprising us with their enthusiasm to try out these new sounds- even doing solos after 5 lessons!

 

We currently offer 2 options:

 

Toddler French club

Fridays 1.30 to 2.30 at Holy Nativity Church hall, Chapel House

 

After-School clubs for Primary School aged children

Thursdays at 3.45 and 4.30 at St John Vianney Church Hall, Chapel House.

 

In our toddler club we sing French songs, play games and learn some basic vocab, greetings, commands, colours etc through playing games and arts and crafts.

 

After school club is learning a set topic each week (following KS2 curriculum guidance) through games, songs and arts & crafts. The children (aged 4-9) love their lessons and no one goes home empty-handed J

 

1st lesson is free, then £3.50 per session - payable termly in advance.
