Chris Pratt has certainly had a meaty return to social media. And we mean that literally. A warning to all the vegetarians and vegans out there - you may not be a fan of his latest content.

The Jurassic World star took to Instagram to share that he and his son Jack are enjoying living that #farmlife, including farming lambs for the past six months. Not all of his followers were impressed, though.

The 38-year-old posted a picture of cuts of lamb meat, explaining, "[The sheep] lived a very good life. He was groomed and shorn, his hooves medicated, dewormed, no antibiotics necessary. Surrounded by laughing, loving humans, including children to whom they provided such joy. Nuzzled, pet and loved every day.

"No stressful travel to his final destination. Trauma-free. Just a touch of a USDA-certified wand to his head and he goes to sleep. The other sheep don’t even notice. It’s like unplugging a tv. Then Wocka my butcher works his magic."

Despite Chris' praise for farm life, the lamb meat photo disturbed some of Chris' followers. We haven't included the picture because of the negative reaction, but for those who are curious, it can be found here.

Chris' vegan and vegetarian followers swiftly responded to the image.

"Just cause you write a nice little paragraph about how it lived good makes it okay to kill a living thing?" one person commented.

Another person wrote, "There is no humane way to kill a living creature. But keep telling yourself that just so you can sleep better at night."

"Put yourself in the position of the victim ... Not really fair is it?" a follower said.

Many came to the former Parks and Rec actor's defence, though.

"So, it was fine to like him when you knew he went to the grocery store to buy his meat?" a fan pointed out.

Someone else said simply, "If you don't eat meat, fine. But don't try to spread your message that the rest of the world is not allowed to eat it as well."

Chris himself said in an Insta video, "And if you're a vegetarian, I apologise, I don’t mean to be insensitive."

His followers may have to get used to such posts, as Chris stated that his return to Instagram will involve workouts, farm life, and various franchises he's involved in like Avengers.

One thing he plans to stay out of? Politics. Hmm, we wonder if that involves food politics as well.
