For any first-time mum, the pregnancy journey can be a confusing one; punctuated with milestones we had never before considered and vocabulary we had yet to encounter.

And while most of us quickly assimilate, there are certain aspects of the nine-month journey which we simply can't get our heads around and expressions which will just never resonate with us.

Admitting that this is certainly the case for her at the moment, world-famous model, Chrissy Teigan took to Twitter to vent her frustration at certain comparisons which are drawn during the nine-month process.

The 30-year-old star, who has been more than happy to document the ups and downs of her baby adventure online, certainly didn't hold back on Saturday, tweeting: "The most annoying part of pregnancy is the fruit and veg sh*t."

Chrissy, who recently revealed her baby's sex during a touching Instagram post, went on to quote a comparison many of us may remember, continuing: "Your baby is 6 inches. A pineapple!" What the f**k grocery store we at?"

Agreeing wholeheartedly with the model,Chrissy's fans and followers were quick to show their support, with many tweeting their own personal grievances with expressions and analogies used during pregnancy.

"I guess you have got beyond the peanut and the prawn, then? Just wait for the watermelon..." wrote one, while another tweeted: "I'm currently in the "15 inch cucumber phase"...not sure I've ever seen one of those."

Attempting to one-up each other, another fan shared: "I just found out my wife is growing an avocado inside her. Before it was an apricot" while another revealed: "My nephew was born at the butternut squash phase (34 weeks)....cue many vegetable photo shoots."

Chrissy, who wed acclaimed musician John Legend in 2013, certainly knows how to get social media talking, and we hope she doesn't stop any time soon!

Keep those observations coming, Chrissy!
