English comedian Chris Ramsey and his wife Rosie recently revealed their tragic miscarriage and the impact it had on their lives.

Rosie was 12 weeks pregnant and ecstatic to become a mum for the second time. Their baby would have been a younger sibling to their son Robin.

The mum could not wait to share her news with everyone, hinting at some upcoming excitement on her Instagram.

Unfortunately, Chris and Rosie experienced what 1 in 4 couples endure, a miscarriage.

They felt the world crumble around them when they went in for a scan and heard the news, listening for that tiny heartbeat that never came.

Rosie opened up in her social media post, describing the heartbreak her and her family experienced.

“He or she had passed early on in the pregnancy leaving behind the pregnancy sac, this is called a Blighted Ovum. (missed miscarriage)”

“It all came as a great shock.” The mum explained that her body was still mimicking the effects of pregnancy, so they were completely blind sided when they heard the news.

Her situation worsened as doctors told her that she must still give birth to the pregnancy sac.

“It was awful. Cramping, vomiting, fainting, fever, really just not nice. After 5 rounds of tablets over a course of 20 or so hours the doctors told me it hadn’t worked as effectively as they’d hoped.”

She was forced to undergo surgery unexpectedly. And now, in the traumatic experience’s wake, the mum is ready to reflect on and process her loss.

“I know it is going to take time to come to terms with all of this, I feel emotionally and physically exhausted.”

Good morning. Apologies for our silence across our social media’s this week, it’s safe to say we’ve had a pretty shitty one. . Last week we thought we would be sharing some lovely news with you all but sadly that was not to be. . When we went for our 12 week scan our baby could not be found. He or she had passed early on in the pregnancy leaving behind the pregnancy sac, this is called a Blighted Ovum. (missed miscarriage) My body still thought I was pregnant for all those weeks after the baby had passed, hormones were released and everything apart from the baby was still growing. I’d never heard of this before so as you can imagine it all came as a great shock. . Unfortunately it didn’t all end there as we were told I still needed to have a miscarriage to rid my body of the sac, placenta etc. . I was admitted into hospital a few days later to start the procedure. . It was awful. Cramping, vomiting, fainting, fever, really just not nice. After 5 rounds of tablets over a course of 20 or so hours the doctors told me it hadn’t worked as effectively as they’d hoped. . I was then taken to surgery to have everything removed. . It is now finally all over. . I know it is going to take time to come to terms with all of this, I feel emotionally and physically exhausted. I have so much sympathy for other couples who have/are going through this as I never knew it entailed so much heartache. . Robin has been wonderful through it all and we feel so blessed to have him in our lives. . . Thank you so much for all your messages of concern, I’ve read them all just didn’t know how to respond x . I was unsure of whether to even put this on social media as not many people knew about our pregnancy, but I need to hear from other women this has happened to, it needs to be talked about in order to heal. 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage, 1 IN 4! I didn’t realise it was that many. People can’t go through this experience in silence or alone, it’s just too painful. .

She hopes that sharing this tragedy will not only help her but help other couples who have gone through similar situations.

“I have so much sympathy for other couples who have/are going through this as I never knew it entailed so much heartache,” Rosie continued.

The Celebrity Juice star re-posted his wife’s message, calling her a “warrior”.

We offer Chris and Rosie our condolences and hope that other mums will reach out to her as well.
