Tara and Jeremy Quellhorst didn't realise when they got married that having children naturally was not something they would be able to do.
The couple spent four years trying for a baby and decided that adoption was the only way they would be able to become parents.
"It was a shock that we wouldn’t be able to have children on our own, naturally, without help," they explained on their GoFundPage created to help them raise $30K to pay for the adoption fees.
"What will come of this will be even greater.
"We know that there is a child out there that God has planned for us."
Thankfully, following their long wait, the couple were granted permission to adopt a little boy, whom they have named Ezekiel or Zeke for short.
And, on the day they met their son for the first time, Tara and Jeremy asked a nurse to film their reaction, and we are so glad they did.
While they are clearly overcome with the emotion of it, both have huge smiles on their faces as they walk up to meet their son.
Tara is the first to hold him, and noticing his hair, she can't help but exclaim: "You're so beautiful; look at all your hair."
Jeremy is then delighted to share the youngster's name before getting to give him a cuddle.
The couple is besotted with their son already, and have nothing but praise for the nurses who have been caring for him sine his birth, two days ago.
