Even as mums we’ve been known to look a bit green around the gills after the odd One Born Every Minute episode. So we have to say we got an almost perverse pleasure watching this Buzzfeed video of three couples with no kids sitting down with three mums to watch their (vaginal and c-section) birth videos – SO funny!
And as expected, the reactions went from “Wow” to “Oh my God” to (our favourite) “I feel drunk right now”.
The three couples are all at different stages in their relationships – with the first claiming they never want kids, the second saying they aren’t ready yet, and third enthusiastically saying they're ready to dive into making babies.
The woman from the first couple is a little freaked out at the prospect of ever having a boy: “The weirdest thing to think is that if the baby has a penis, you’re growing a penis inside of you!”
“I think it’s amazing thing, I think it’s a beautiful thing,” says the man from the second couple. “I say that having not SEEN it,” he adds wryly.
While the third couple can’t wait for the pitter-patter of tiny feet: “We’re ready to have kids and all that good stuff – baby time!”
And the reactions?
“After seeing this video, I just want to say to my mom, oh my gosh, thank you so much!” said the woman from the second couple.
While the man from the third couple was as enthusiastic as ever: “When the baby was out I felt relieved, it was really beautiful.”
However the women from the first couple (she of the baby penis fear) has remained unconvinced: “When you say it’s worth it and beautiful and amazing and I think that’s really cool… but I don’t want to do that… still.”

We got such a giggle watching the couples experience the birth with the proud mamas on hand to talk them through it – but it wasn’t all laughs, because at the end we cried like soppy fools, and we have a feeling you will too.
