From tissue paper to cotton wool, there are so many household materials that can be used to make fun and interesting craft creations. This latest project has to be our favourite yet, however, and it is easy peasy.
What you will need:
- Crayons of various colours and shades
- Card
- Glue
- A hairdryer
Method:
- Take your chosen colour palette of crayons and stick them down firmly to the top of the card using glue or a neat adhesive of your choice.
- Using a stand, or even just propping the card up against some glasses, prop the card up so that the pointed end of the crayons are facing downwards.
- Switch on your hairdryer and run it across the crayons at a safe distance so there is no risk of overheating. Gently applying heat will slowly melt the crayons, causing the colours to run and create a beautiful abstract picture.
- Once you are happy with the design, switch off the hairdryer and leave the crayon wax to harden.
