Some babies are slightly clingier than others. Whether it’s Mum, Dad, Granny or an older sibling, they want to be held, cuddled and reassured at all times.

While it’s nice to have such an adoring little one, things get tricky on those occasions where you have to put them down.

Cue ear-splitting crying and you feeling like a terrible person for putting them down while you pick up a boiling hot saucepan or tie your lace.

One dad knows this struggle all too well and created a funny video which sums up life with a baby who just won’t let go.

Vlogger LaGuardia Cross posted a video of his endeavours to multi-task while holding his daughter on his channel The New Father Chronicles.

He attempts to go to the toilet, take a shower and get dressed with his baby sleeping soundly in his arms at all times.

The comical dad then attempts to put his tot into her car seat so they can go out but she’s having none of it. “Seriously?!” the exasperated dad asks as she wails in disapproval.

LaGuardia hops into the driver’s seat with the baby on his lap and pretends to drive. “OK, maybe this will work out”, he jokes while a police car siren is heard in the background!

Alongside the video, he wrote: “Share if you can relate and then send me some bail money!”

After he posted the video which has had 19K views so far, he was inundated with comments from other parents who had experienced the same thing.

Some offered advice: “Put her down even if she's crying. Lay next to her and let her self-soothe as you quietly sing or talk to her. If all else fails, play Biggie's Hypnotize. Maybe she'll quieten down like that other baby did.”

Others offered “encouragement”: “You’re a great dad. Just 26 more years. Hang on.”

While others just sympathised with his predicament, with one mum writing: “Currently on baby number three. He is four months old and has only napped in his crib twice.

"It's weird babies can be totally different. I figured it out with my first two but this one just wants to be close. All. The. Time.”

Can you sympathise with this mums?
