The untimely death of much-loved actor, Robin Williams, in August 2014 stunned the public and left many fans questioning the inner turmoil and heartache the incredibly talented actor was able to conceal while simultaneously captivating movie-goers with his memorable performances.

One young woman, who is still coming to terms with the star's passing, is his 26-year-old daughter, Zelda, who admits she still finds it difficult to watch footage of her late father doing what he did best.

Speaking to ET, the actor's daughter acknowledged that there would come a time in the future where she would find solace in his performances, but she had yet to reach that point in her grieving process.

Opening up to interviewers about her thoughts on the question, she explained: "I think I'll reach a place where I'm more comfortable, I'll happily watch all his films again."

Zelda did, however, explain that her current focus is on protecting and caring for herself and loved ones as they navigate family life without their beloved dad, saying: "Right now, I think that would be a bit self-destructive, in a sense. It's been nice to kind of work on myself and my family and the people who are here."

While Zelda may not yet be able to revisit her father's best known performances, she still carries him with her everyday of her life, explaining: "A lot of what I try to do is interact with the world the way he did."

Hoping to channel her father's altruistic approach to the wider world, Zelda revealed: "He didn't care who someone was; he did a lot of work with the homeless, he did a lot of work with people in prison, as my mum does now, and he was always kind."

"It meant a lot to him, so I kind of hope to, if nothing else, be that," she explained while reflecting on the impact her father had on both the movie industry and wider public.

We can only imagine how proud Robin would be of Zelda today.
