People from across the UK are invited to join national charity Heart Research UK and Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority’s Three Peaks Project for a family Day in the Dales event on Saturday, 18th June.

Heart Research UK is a visionary charity that has been helping hearts near you since 1967. It funds ground-breaking medical research that benefits patients as soon as possible.

Set within the heart of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, this FREE event gives families plenty of fun and activities while raising money to fund research into the prevention, treatment and cure of heart disease - as well as maintaining the Three Peaks path for future generations.

As part of the Day in the Dales walkers can also sign up for Heart Research UK’s 20th Yorkshire Three Peaks sponsored event to climb Pen-y- ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside.

At the Day in the Dales event there’s something for everyone including traditional sports like tug-of-war, skipping, sack and egg and spoon races as well as country stalls, local produce, and fairground

rides.

Cream teas and ice creams will bring even more summer to the event.

There’s a 5K nature trail designed to get children excited about countryside and woodland walks, encouraging them to note the sights and sounds around the village, learn about nature and to keep an eye out for house martins and woodpeckers.

“Whether you walk alone, with your friends or family you’ll love a great day out in the spectacular Yorkshire Dales, joining hundreds of other walkers.”

For more information on this event you can visit the Heart Research UK website.

SHARE this great family day out.
