This homemade gingerbread latte recipe is DELICIOUS!

 

Sure, you could go out and buy one, but there’s something so satisfying about making one from scratch. They’re actually super easy to make too and will make the house smell yummy.

 

This recipe makes two (so you can share the experience!)

 

Ingredients

 

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

 

1 teaspoon ground ginger

 

2 teaspoons brown sugar (add more to taste if needed)

 

2 shots espresso (or just fill a fifth of a mug with strong coffee)

 

Few drops vanilla extract

 

500mls milk

 

Spray cream (optional)

 

Method

 

1. In a glass jug combine the hot coffee, ginger, cinnamon, sugar and vanilla. Whisk with a fork making sure the spices are dissolved.

 

2. Heat the milk on the pan or froth it if you’ve a frother. (We don't have a frother. We want a frother!)

 

3. Warm your mugs with a swish of hot water to keep your latte toasty.

 

4. Simply pour the milk into the mugs and divide the coffee mixture evenly.

 

5. If you want to go all Martha Stewart on it garnish with whipped cream and a candy cane.

 

6. Enjoy festive yumminess.
