We all strive to be the perfect mum.

The one we see sprawled across our social media feeds, or the perfect parent we meet at the school gates.

You know - the one who looks like they stepped out of the salon while you appear as a caveman?

Well, renowned mummy vlogger, Kristina Kuzmic has paid homage to the reality of the 'perfect mum', and it will not disappoint.

The video depicts three real perfect mums, who go through similar struggles on a daily basis.

The piece perfectly sums up how we, as mums, always think the worst of ourselves; always wishing we were as put together as another.

Nonetheless, we don't stop to think that perhaps other mums could be struggling like we are; maybe, just like us they're pretending everything is OK.

Meanwhile, the day just hasn't been kind to them, they don't feel like leaving the house, and everything seems to be falling apart.

"You see these other mums, and they are put together. They are seamlessly balancing work and family, they have it all figured out," explained the mum-of-three.

"They're smart and confident, they're gorgeous and happy. You're staring at them and you're just admiring them and you can't help but compare yourself to them."

And after the comparison comes the part where you want that perfect mum's life, you don't want to have a care in the world.

"Here's the raw truth though... every single mum you have compared yourself to or thought of as perfect, she has her own struggles. Every single one."

"You see this one little glimpse of her and assume her entire life is bliss. But you don't know what she deals with at home alone behind closed doors."

"Reliving the pain of something, or someone, or feeling alone or helpless."

Kristina believes that as mothers, we all have our moments, lying on the floor doubting ourselves, wondering about the future, regretting moments in the past, because not one single person has motherhood figured out, we need to admit that sometimes, we're scared.

"Nobody's living a perfect life, because there's no such thing as a perfect life, or perfect parent, or perfect anything."

"We're worried because we're not sure we can give our children everything they need, and we feel guilt because we want to be that perfect mother that we have created in our heads."

Nonetheless, we can never live up to the fantasy, because it is just that, a fantasy; it's exhausting to try though, leaving mums in a state of panic.

But maybe it's time to take on board that we're all in the same boat, reminding ourselves that we ALL struggle.

"So instead of assuming that someone else's path is smoother, instead of comparing yourself or wishing you had their life, focus instead on being the mum who is doing the best she can."

"You might struggle and sometimes you might even fail, but you still get up and you still keep going and that's what makes you a great mum."

We're all taking inspiration from this video right now.
