Every mum should read Amanda Seyfrieds words about breastfeeding

Breastfeeding is not the most easy thing in the world.

Not only is it a divisive topic but it can be tough both psychically if you're not producing enough milk and emotionally if the the baby won't latch on.

Not to mention, seriously painful at times also.

It helps when celebrities talk about how they're dealing with it, which is what actor Amanda Seyfried did.

The 33-year-old said, ''Breastfeeding is incredibly hard. If you don't find it hard, you are rare. A rare, lucky person.''

She continued, ''I feel like we're all talking about it, but not enough still."

Amanda is mum to two-year-old Nina with her husband Thomas Sadoski.

She also loves giving breastfeeding advice and came to the aid of actress Claire Holt, who opened up about her own frustrations with breastfeeding on Instagram.

Claire wrote that she was feeling "exhausted, in pain, feeling defeated" after "struggling through a tough feed.

Amanda wrote, ''I gave myself two days off in the first week so I wouldn't be scared and sad every time she woke up to feed. And it helped so much. No guilt. Just pump and bottle. And then did both throughout. Less pressure. You're not alone.''

She has spoken out before about the judgement women get for breastfeeding.

She wrote on Twitter that, ''Breastfeeding is awesome. Formula is awesome. Feeding your baby is awesome. Not awesome? Judgement.''

We love her positive attitude and think it's important for women to feel supported in however they chosen to feed their baby.
