Hameau des Martres is an exclusive self catering holiday property in the heart of France – the stunning Charente Maritime. We can offer the light and spacious contemporary villa, the 200-year-old farmhouse cottage with original beams and limestone walls with all modern amenities, and the large four bedroomed stone gite, all for rental together or separately. The property can sleep up to 21 plus infants.

 

The stunning villa sleeps 8 in four bedrooms, 3 doubles and a children’s twin a large bathroom and also an en suite shower room. The property is suitable for families with children over 8 years. The cosy cottage sleeps 5 in 3 bedrooms, 2 doubles, one children’s single room and one bathroom. The large gite 'Bleu' sleeps 6/8 in four bedrooms, two doubles and two twin rooms with one bathroom. we can provide cots, high chairs and other baby / toddler equipment in both these gites.

 

The entire pool area is walled, with self-locking gates and the pool is alarmed for the safety of children. The pool itself is heated to 30c with a very efficient heat pump and 12m x 5 m with a gently sloping beach style entrance so that the little ones can also play safely (with supervision naturally). There is plenty of room around the pool area for sunbathing and relaxing. Ample loungers and chairs are provided. The pool area also has a covered 'gazebo' in case you need a little shade. A table, chairs and parasol are also provided for those lazy lunches by the pool or cocktails at the end of the day to watch the amazing and uninterrupted views of the fabulous sunsets (a real feature of this property).

The property is the owners' second home. It is therefore finished, furnished and decorated to a very high standard. Consequently it has a real 'home away from home' feel to it. There is a huge terrace area for sunbathing and has beautifully exotic plantings all around. The views are simply stunning and the unspoilt sunsets incredible. There is a large enclosed field to the rear, a perfect place for the children to play especially since we have a play house and play tower with swings and slide and also a sand pit.

 

This property is ideally suited to a large family group who wish to enjoy an exclusive family holiday together.
