Shooting movies can be a very risky activity, which is something that acclaimed Hollywood director Tim Burton learned this week.

The 56-year-old was reportedly rushed to hospital on Monday night after injuring himself during a break from filming.

Dad-of-two Burton, who is currently filming the movie adaptation of the book Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children in England, is said to have injured himself on set and been treated in A&E shortly after.

Early reports claim that award-winning director does not have any broken bones, and the film’s shooting is set to continue at Blackpool Tower this week.

Tim, who is dad to 12-year-old son Billy and eight-year-old daughter Nell, was reportedly taken to the nearby Victoria Hospital, where his assistant requested a private cordoned-off area.

Burton’s publicist assured fans that there is nothing to worry about, saying: “Tim attended hospital with a minor injury, no breakages.”

The director’s latest movie is very highly anticipated, boasting a cast including Dame Judi Dench and Samuel L. Jackson.

Burton is the latest star to give fans a scare in recent times, with Hollywood legend Harrison Ford also treated in hospital after crashing his private plane.
