She's known for her warm welcome and incredibly sunny demeanour, but it looks like this famous mum and popular TV presenter may now be known for something a lot less appealing - bullying.

After interviewing Geordie Shore star, Charlotte Crosby, on her famous sofa this morning, Lorraine Kelly came in for a barrage of criticism which saw social media users slam the 55-year-old mum-of-one.

Insisting the presenter went too far when attempting to get Charlotte to justify her onscreen antics, viewers of the show took to Twitter to air their disdain for the host's approach to her guest.

Grilling the 25-year-old reality TV star on her decorum in the famous Geordie Shore house, Lorraine appeared to cast aspersions on her guest and her life choices, saying: "I don't [like it]. I really don't. They [viewers] might not be laughing with you."

Appearing on the show to promote her book Me Me Me, Charlotte appeared uncomfortable as she attempted to field the host's questions and even took to Twitter in the aftermath to comment on the interview.

Acknowledging the situation, Charlotte wrote: "Well, that didn't go too well. I don't think Lorraine will be buying my book in a hurry."

The mum-of-one was subject to much criticism online, with Twitter users writing: "Very unprofessional interview...terrible behaviour from Lorraine Kelly."

Echoing this comment, another viewer wrote: "Geeze Lorraine, you're giving Charlotte such a hard time. Aren't interviews meant to be non biased?" (sic)

Lorraine has acknowledged the controversy on her Twitter page, writing: "I thought it was firm but fair and Charlotte [was] happy to answer everything."

We don't think there's any love lost between those two!
