The summer holidays have only just begun but we’re already feeling the effects.

After endless games of hide-and-seek, fights over the remote and hearing “I’m bored” for the fifth time today, we just want to go somewhere to lay our heads down and snooze.

If there’s one thing our kids have taught us, it’s the importance of a good nap. And while we usually get ours in on the sofa while the kids are preoccupied elsewhere, we like the idea of going somewhere peaceful for a midday snooze.

Siesta & Go is the first nap bar to open in Spain, following the success of other nap bars in London, Dubai and Japan.

The premise is simple, you simply check in and rest your weary head in either a private or shared room of your choosing. Rates start at just €12-€14, according to The Metro.

Although daytime napping can be a risky business, you don’t have to worry about not waking up as they will send an employee to rouse you at the end of the nap. (Our kids have that one down to a fine art already…)

The nap bar is located in the heart of the financial district of Azaca and is expected to very popular with local workers.

If you’re only mildly tired, they also offer a relaxing lounge to chill out in away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world.

Nappers can avail of nightshirts and slippers to make themselves cosy and all bedding is single use and professionally cleaned afterwards.

For those just wanting to relax in a quiet place, there’s lots of coffee and newspapers available.

Siesta & Go say napping has great physical and mental benefits. The company’s website claims that napping can help relieve tension, stimulate creativity and improves performance.

We can certainly attest to the fact that toddlers become very creative and energetic after a nap!

We love the sound of this nap bar, we just need one to open down the road!

What do you think mums? Would you go to a nap bar? Let us know your thoughts.
