Abagail Wedlake became a mum for the first time to her beautiful baby girl Aubrey.
But the mum had a message she needed to share with all the mums out there.
Abagail was fed up seeing unrealistic post-partum images being shared online so she took to Instagram to confirm what really lies beneath.
Captioning her post, Abagail begins to explain why each and every mum out there should be proud of their body after giving the gift life.
"A mark for every breath you took, every blink, every sleepy yawn. One for every time you sucked your thumb and slept in perfect darkness. One for every dream you dreamt."
"It was your home and where I grew to love you. I've earned my stripes and am embracing them more and more everyday," she added.
Abagail, proud of her 'stripes' reinforces that each post-partum body is different, but they tell a unique story that no one else can tell - your journey to bringing a life into the world.
As the new mum calls them 'perfect imperfections', we can't help but agree with her.
