Lingerie model Sarah Stage is five months pregnant with her second child, yet her baby bump is almost non-existent.

Sarah posted an Instagram snap of herself hanging out on the beach, with her two-year-old son James touching her belly. The model’s toned abs are clearly visible, but it’s not immediately obvious to an on-looker that she is pregnant.

Sarah captioned the photo: “Yesterday he patted my tummy and said ‘my baby’. Do you think two-year-olds really understand?”

Prior to that, Sarah showed off another photo of herself cradling her toned stomach which caused her followers to react in disbelief.

One wrote, “My body goal is five months pregnant, and I didn't even know it!”, while another wrote, “Where is the baby?”

The LA-based model became the subject of scrutiny during her first pregnancy, because of her toned physique throughout the entire nine months.

However, despite some critics claiming that Sarah’s lack of a bump could be harmful to her baby, baby James was born weighing a healthy eight pounds.

Sarah says she isn’t concerned about her body changing as her pregnancy progresses.

“It comes with the territory when you’re pregnant,” she says. “It’s exciting, and it’s such a short period of time that your body changes, and in the end, it’s all worth it.”

“I have a little bump, but this time I’m carrying a little bit differently,” the 33-year-old fit mum told People. “The doctor says the baby is a lot lower.”

Sarah says she is still exercising but has adjusted her routine to suit her pregnancy.

“I consulted with my trainer and my doctor just to make sure that it would be OK to continue (working out), and they just said to lower the weight,” she says. “If you listen to your body, it’s going to tell you if it’s too heavy. I’m doing a little bit less, I’m not going as aggressive as I normally do. I have to hold back, but that’s OK.”

She says she gets most of her exercise at home, as caring for James means she has less time for going to the gym.

“Chasing after a toddler, it’s really crazy to get to the actual gym, so I created my own at-home workout,” she says. “I’ve just been doing workouts when I can fit them in, a few times a week at home.”

We wish Sarah the very best of luck with the rest of her pregnancy and the new baby.
