Strictly Come Dancing doesn’t return to our screens for another two months, but rumours about this year’s lineup have already started.
The show always features a huge variety of stars, from singers like Alexandra Burke and Sophie Ellis-Bextor to sports stars like Mark Foster and Jonnie Peacock.
We are always pleasantly surprised by the lineup and it’s safe to say we won’t be disappointed this year.
Rumour has it one EastEnders star will be making her way from Albert Square to the Strictly ballroom.
Samantha Womack teased fans about her appearance on the dance show. The former soap star has often been asked to participate in the popular series, but turned down offers, until now.
She told The Mirror: “I'm going to have the summer off and then I'm going back on the telly in September for something that hasn't been announced yet.”
The actress starred as Ronnie Mitchell on the popular British soap for nearly ten years, making Ronnie one of the most well-known soap characters of all time.
We’re sure fans of the show will be thrilled to see Samantha take to the Strictly dance floor. Other rumoured participants include TV presenter Davina McCall, actress Michelle Keegan, and X Factor winner Shayne Ward.
The official lineup will be released towards the end of the summer. We can’t wait to hear who is taking part.
