Having met at the tender age of 13, Nicky and Georgina have coped with prolonged separations on account of Nicky's hectic touring schedule with Westlife, family bereavements, and the arrival of three beautiful children - all of which appear to have only strengthened the bond between the two.
While many teenage boys relish the prospect of single life and bachelor antics, it appears the smitten Nicky knew, at the dawn of his teenage years, that he had found the girl he was to spend the rest of his life with.
Speaking to the Irish Independent, the 37-year-old dad-of-three from Dublin said that he had confided in his mum, Yvonne, that he had met the girl he was going to marry.
Opening up about the effect the beautiful Georgina had on him, radio presenter Nicky said: "I was only 13, but I liked Georgina the moment I saw her,"
"She was a really classy girl with big blue eyes and was so friendly and polite. I could chat away to other girls, but I just froze around her," he recalled.
Three years after their first meeting, the pair finally became an item on Nicky's 16th birthday in 1996 before going on to get married seven years later in 2003.
Nicky, who shares two sons and a daughter with the former Prime Minister's daughter, can't say enough good things about the mother of his children or the relationship they enjoy, gushing: "Georgina has been brilliant and really supportive and we're very happily married."
